The Meeting with Mr Atiqul Islam, Honourable Mayor of Dhaka North City Corporation was held on Wednesday 3rd November 2021 at the Royal China London, Docklands, 30 Westferry Circus, London E14 8RR. In attendance were directors of UKBCCI presented flower bouquet and crest to the Mayor. The Programme included Speeches and Dinner.
The UKBCCI Roadshow proves a resounding success
The UKBCCI Summer London Roadshow & Networking Event took place on 18th July 2018 at the stunning venue Chigwell Hall in Chigwell, helping businesses and getting our message around the country. Hosted by UKBCCI Director Kamru Ali, the event targeted young entrepreneurs too. Attracting over a 100 businesses and community leaders from across the UK.

The UKBCCI announced its full list of winners at the prestigious ceremony. Hosted by Jennie Bond, the English journalist and television presenter who had worked for fourteen years as the BBC's royal correspondent.
E-Commerce Fair in London and the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding
The event was highlighted by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding. The UKBCCI have now forged a partnership with BHTPA (Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority) of BCC Bhaban, Agargon, Dhaka, Bangladesh and The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI). 14/11/2015

The Bangladeshi Minister for labour and employment and expatriates welfare and overseas employment, met with UKBCCI delegates in Dhaka to discuss plans for employment opportunities between the two countries.

Dr. Atiur Rahman, Governor of Bangladesh Bank, Mr Abrar A. Anwar, CEO, of Standard Chartered Bank, Mr Khondker M. Talha, Deputy High Commissioner of Bangladesh to the UK, along with other senior officers from Standard Chartered Bank visited the UKBCCI office London in September.
UCL Students become UKBCCI Ambassadors
Four UCL Undergraduates became ambassadors for the UKBCCI. They were introduced to influential business guests at a UKBCCI meeting in London, January 2015.
Meeting with an Advisor to the Prime Minister of Bangladesh
UKBCCI delegation met with the Dr. Towfiq-e-Elahi Chowdhury, Adviser to the Honourable Prime Minister of Bangladesh on 16th April 2014.

Chairman Mr. Iqbal Ahmed OBE was presenting a crest to the President Mr. Mohammad Shahjahan Khan of DCCI (Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Bangladesh) on 16th April 2014.

A UKBCCI delegation met his Excellency, the Honourable President of Bangladesh, Abdul Hamid, on an official visit to Dhaka in April 2014.
Meeting with the FBCCI in Dhaka
In January 2016, UKBCCI Directors had a very fruitful meeting with the FBCCI president, Mr Matlub Ahmed, at the FBCCI headquarters in Dhaka.

START ME UP PROJECT

We are delighted to share the good news that UKBCCI has been awarded The National Lottery Community Funding for the “Start Me Up Project” starting from November 2023 to June 2024. This aims to inspire people age between 21 to 60 years from BAME community living in Tower Hamlets who are interested in entrepreneurship and are aspiring to set up their own business. “Start Me Up Project” will support our participants in building their business ideas; as well as providing mentorship with our networks of highly experienced business people.
