British Bangladeshi Friends of Oxfam Charity Dinner held on 5th October 2022 at the Impression Hall, Milner Road, London. This event, a Charity Dinner has been organised to celebrate the excellent work that Oxfam has been undertaking since the independence of Bangladesh. The fund raised at the Charity Dinner will be used by Oxfam in various development work that is urgently required.
UKBCCI President M G Moula Miah met with the Deputy Prime Minister Therese Coffey in Birmingham
“It’s my pleasure to meet deputy prime minister at my restaurant Barajee Birmingham in the first day of party conference” – said UKBCCI President M G Moula Miah. The conference took place the International Convention Centre from 2nd October to 5th October 2022.
President also met with Dean Russell MP who has been appointed from September 2022 as Parliamentary Under Secretary of state (Minister for Enterprise and Markets) and Paul Scully MP who has been appointed as the Minister of State at the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities. Mr Miah had a very good discussion with both Dean and Paul and as part of his UKBBCI responsibility that formally start communication channels with both Ministers to further promoting bi lateral trade between UK and Bangladesh.
LBPC Press Conference
UKBCCI has organised the press conference with Bangladesh Caterers Association (BCA) to protest about the recent arrest of 7 British Bangladeshi investors in Dhaka including UKBCCI Senior Vice President Mr Jamal Uddin Mokoddus.
The Press Conference was held on Thursday 29th September 2022 at 5:30pm at London Bangla Press Club Office.

Consultation Meeting with Mr Md Masum Patwary

Seminar of UKBCCI with Better Bangladesh Foundation [BBF]
UK Bangladesh Catalysts of Commerce and Industry (UKBCCI) and Better Bangladesh Foundation [BBF] meet Wednesday 14th September 2022 to further their working partnerships.
UKBCCI held a seminar with the the Chairman of Branding Bangladesh Global Initiative Professor Masud A Khan. The meeting organized by the Director of International Trade Affairs Ms Rohema Miah to discuss opportunities and future partnership projects was chaired by the President Mr M G Moula Miah at the London UKBCCI Head office who said that ” Bangladesh is historically a young country but it has flourished and is now known throughout the globe to be one of the fastest growing economies. We must all do our best to promote bi lateral trade and investment and further the aims and objectives set out by the Millennium Sustainability goals. We at UKBCCI are committed to that and to working in partnership for the betterment of all concerned
The seminar was compeered by Barrister Anawar Babul Miah, UKBCCI Director of Legal Affairs. Speaking on the issues and opportunities, UKBCCI Finance Director Kamrul Ali, East of England Regional President Siddiqur Rahman Joynal, Director of Membership Saiful Alam, Abdul Quayum Khalique (Director), all spoke on the relevance of promotion and partnerships. Also present were various corporate and general members and their guests.
Professor Masud A Khan, Chairman of Branding Bangladesh Global Initiative and Founder of BBF and authorized partner of BIDA, Government’s Office of the People of Bangladesh stated “That there are 12 million NRB’s globally, each is an ambassador for Bangladesh. We must work together to ensure that they are engaged in the process of building a positive image and promotion of the opportunities available in Bangladesh.. UKBCCI is doing a commendable job in pushing forward with increasing bi-lateral trade and improving trade relations.
Chairman and Chief Executive of the London Tea Exchange Sheikh Aliur Rahman said ” I was delighted to attend the UKBCCI event today hosting the Chairman of BBF Professor Masud Khan. I hope this is a starting point to build bridges between UK and Bangladesh.”
