UKBCCI Chairman, Iqbal Ahmed OBE receives Gold Export Award from the Honourable Prime Minister of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh
Iqbal Ahmed OBE, Chairman of Seamark (BD) Limited Group and Chairman of UKBCCI, received the Gold Export Trophy Award from the Honourable Prime Minister of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina.
The prestigious ceremony was organised by the Commerce Ministry and Export Promotion Bureau and was held at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in Dhaka, Bangladesh on Sunday, 2nd December 2018. Seamark (BD) Limited has been awarded by the government of Bangladesh 9 times for achieving highest exports from Bangladesh to all over the world.
Seamark (BD) Limited is a subsidiary of the Seamark Group with its head office based in Manchester, UK. The operation in Bangladesh was established in Chittagong, Bangladesh in year 2000. The state of the art facility was inaugurated by HRH The Princess Royal, Princess Anne. It is a 100% export oriented seafood processing industry. The company continues to grow exporting seafood all over the world and has made a huge contribution to Bangladesh’s economy by bringing in millions of foreign currency since its inception.

UKBCCI welcome the newly appointed High Commissioner
Directors of UKBCCI visited the Bangladesh High Commission in London on 5th December 2018 to welcome the newly appointed High Commissioner. It was a great honour to meet her Excellency. This was a momentous occasion for UKBCCI. A positive discussion came from this meeting.
UKBCCI hold important Seminar
UKBCCI held a Networking & Seminar on ‘Disclosure of Offshore Income and Assets’ on Thursday 15th November 2018 at UKBCCI office in the Montefiore Centre.
The Seminar was informative and well attended. It helped the audience understand the Government’s rules regarding offshore Income and Assets.
