UKBCCI Charity Dinner on 5th March 2023
On the 13th December on behalf of the UKBCCI, President Mr M G Moula Miah participated the Global Virtual Seminar of the Valerie Taylor Trust (VTT) invited by Dr Valerie Taylor OBE, which was organised by Mr Farhan Masud of Channel S. This seminar brought together scholars and experts from around the globe focussing on the hopes, challenges and justice of people with disabilities and autism.
UKBCCI President is pleased to have offered his support again to the VTT, and was announced in the seminar that President and on behalf of UKBCCI will be organising a charity night on 5th March 2023 in Birmingham to raise funds for one of the worlds renowned charity.
UKBCCI Midlands Regional President Mr Imam Uddin Ahmad
At the UKBCCI Midlands Regional committee meeting on 6th December 2022, the committee members welcomed the new Regional President Mr Imam Uddin Ahmad and paid gratitude to the outgoing Midlands Regional President M G Moula Miah whom they congratulated on becoming the President of the Central Board of the UKBCCI. The committee members also thanked Dr Josh Ahmed who served as the Acting President for the last few months.
In the meeting they have discussed their plans for the coming year including seminars and networking events which will benefit UKBCCI members.
The new President thanked the General Secretary of Midlands Region Mr Nawaz Ali for posting regional meeting proceedings and thanked everyone for their support.
He also said –
“I am truly honoured and humbled to be appointed as the President of the Midlands Region. It is a great responsibility which I take very seriously as I am only too aware of the dedication and devotion of my predecessor in making this region a huge success.
Nonetheless I have taken strength and found added confidence by the pledge of support and solidarity from my fellow executive members.
I look forward to working with all the members in my own region, central board and other regions in further promoting our common goal, the chambers aims and objectives and hope I can live up to the expectations placed on me.”
UKBCCI Board of Directors welcomed the new Director Mr Imam Uddin Ahmad
The UKBCCI Board Meeting was held on 17th November 2022 at the UKBCCI office. There was a comprehensive agenda with many things discussed. A positive and well attended meeting ensued regarding future events. The Directors welcomed the new Director Mr Imam Uddin Ahmad to the Board Meeting.
UKBCCI Chairman Mr Iqbal Ahmed OBE DBA hosted a Networking Event at Vermilion
Mr Iqbal Ahmed OBE DBA, Chairman of UKBCCI and Chairman & Chief Executive of Seamark plc, hosted a networking followed by a sumptuous dinner in the Abacus Gallery at the prestigious Vermilion Restaurant on Wednesday, 16th November 2022.
The event was attended by distinguished guests comprising top solicitors, chartered surveyors, property managers, banker, chartered accountants, engineers, university director, successful entrepreneurs and outstanding speakers.
The speeches and discussions touched on the current economic crises, the resilience of the British business community, inflation, recession, the government and politicians’ incompetence and how the British businesses will face the challenges ahead and bounce back. There was a strong criticism for the Central Bank Governor for his negativity and pessimism.
The event was successful and everyone left in high spirits.
