The US based Stanford University has recently released a list that represents the top 2% of the most- cited scientists in various disciplines. The exhaustive list has approximately 160,000 researchers including scientists, doctors and engineers in the world. Stanford examined the work of more than seven million scientists across 22 subject fields between 1996 and 2019.
Professor Parvez Haris of De Montfort University, Leicester has been recognised as one of them.
Mr Haris was named a winner in the UKBCCI Business and Entrepreneur Excellence Awards 2019. He won the Business Innovation Award for his research highlighting a link between high consumption of rice and arsenic poisoning also for the impact he and his research has had, with pharmaceutical and agricultural industries both incorporating his findings into their practices.
